PIANGO training of Code Committee
VANGO/PIANGO Code Committee
HCDI has been actively engaged in the development of a voluntary code to promote transparency and accountability among Vanuatu Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), an initiative grounded in the Istanbul Principles and supported by PIANGO. To date, the Code committee successfully drafted a Code, in Bislama, English, and French. HCDI has designed and implemented Code training for VANGO members, and developed an action plan for committee outreach, funding, and Code launching. HCDI hopes to use the Code as one of key elements in upcoming CSO capacity development efforts.
Forchenal Tourism Initiative
HCDI worked with a local community in Santo bush to develop and implement a Ni-Van owned and operated tourism project. The first pilot offering was successfully implemented in July 2017.
School Principal Mentoring Program
